Joe the Plumber

Finally an everyday American who epitomizes blue collar America has brought Obama's secret welfare program to the forefront. I can just hear the Main Street media whispering to each other, "Oh no!". He asked, for those of you who are in outer space, why he should be taxed so much if he buys a plumbing business for $250,000? Obama's answer was that he needs to spread the wealth around. It comes down to that. Plain and simple.

For those of you who want to evaluate the situation, consider this. I do construction now and then. It is a suplimentary source of income. Last year I signed a deal to build a familyroom addition to a house, an attached 3 car garage, a new large recycled plastic deck, and new windows in the house. The contract was for $260,000. The job took 3 months. I hired the framing carpenters, the plumbers, the concrete subcontractor, the painters, the electrician and the finish men. I did a lot of the work, but as a "paper contractor" I have no employees of my own. My profit was a small fraction of the contract because I had to pay all those people. Under Obama's "If you make over $250,000 per year", I get whacked.

If you say, well he probably meant those who net over $250,000 per year, Obama never said that and he has had the chance for days now to do that. Besides, most small corporations are managed so that the owner takes a salary out, and it is never over $250,000 per year.

So how does Obama hope to do his plan? He is proposing to hit those who gross that much. The ramifications of this are obvious. Nobody will be doing these jobs anymore. If they do more then one job a year, they will be setting up new corporations for each job, LLCs. On those jobs that are like the one I had last year, There will be a lot of $249,000 contracts with work change orders or direct payments to plumbers and electricians by the homeowners. So it will work like this: Contract $250,000, but the homeowner has to pay the plumbers and lumber company and the electricians separately out of that amount, thereby resulting in less then half of the contract being deposited into the corporate account.

The sad fact is that Obama is proposing to do this. He is disguising this by saying it in such a way that you would think he is referring to only the rich businesses. He isn't. His plan will result in obvious skirting of the rules and generating much less then he thinks. Not to mention the fact that when the economy is in the tank, being cute and trying to stick it to blue collar America will be a coffin nail.

Did you know?

Mr. Obama will give 95% of American working families a tax cut, even though 40% of Americans today don't pay income taxes! How can our star enact such mathemagic? How can he "cut" zero? Abracadabra! It's called a "refundable tax credit." It involves the federal government taking money from those who do pay taxes, and writing checks to those who don't. Yes, yes, in the real world this is known as "welfare."

Obama on taxes

Obama claims he won't raise taxes on most Americans. Maybe I'm missing something. The Washington Post Fact Checker says in part:

The claim that Obama will "enact" the largest tax increase since World War II is also overblown. The Bush tax cuts will expire automatically at the end of 2010, so it is hardly a question of "enacting" a new tax increase. According to Obama's new economics adviser, Jason Furman, the revenues raised from letting the tax cuts expire will be returned to middle and low-income tax payers in the form of tax credits to pay for health insurance, so the overall effect will be revenue neutral.

Well when the tax cuts expire, everyone's taxes go up. But if they get a tax credit, Obama says it will be revenue neutral. The last time I looked, a tax credit filed this year on last years income works if your income is steady year to year. What about those who were employed and now are out of a job? What about someone who gets married this year but was single last year? What about a couple who one partner dies or gets divorced? There are many cases where their situations will mean a tax increase.

Obama wants to hit the oil companies with huge profits taxes. Sounds great but how do you think they will act after that happens? they will raise the price of gas at the gas stations. Same as a gas tax, it's just passed on to you.

Obama wants to remove the $100,000 cap on Social Security tax payments. He wants to have people above $200,000 pay into SS where now income over $100,000 is exempt. This amounts to a big tax increase for those at $200,000 and up. He has claimed that under $250,000 would see no increase. Looks like a little lie here.

Obama's capital gains tax increase will affect a huge chuck of people under $250,000. Every city worker, retired cop, retired fire department employee and many others who need to cash in their deferred compensation plans to make ends meet will be hit with this tax. No exclusion for being under $250,000.

The bottom line is Obama has been slinging the crap and a lot of folks are buying it. Read between the lines, there is no free lunch!

The Real One

This country is nearing the point where they have to make a choice for President. Those who want Obama should consider what he will not tell you. He will not tell you what he did with Acorn, he will not tell you when he met Mr. Ayers (he has lied about this by saying he only knew him in passing), he won't tell you what is in his medical records, he won't release his birth certificate, he won't tell you how he could have been in a church for 20 years and never even heard about a blockbuster attack on America by his paster, He won't tell you that he knew he was working with a real estate crook Mr Rezco and he profited in a scandalous way.

We know he has has some questionable friends and acquaintances, We know he lies about these things. We know his wife has a chip on her shoulder and a persecution complex against whites. Her ex-boss in a law firm she was a first year lawyer, tells a story about her that supports this. We know her senior thesis was about how whites in her college see her as black in a negative way. We know his campaign has put a gag on her for a month now for obvious reasons. We know his math does not add up and all he promises can't be paid for at all. We know when he ran for state senate he promised lower taxes and he raised them instead. We know he sounds white when his audience is white and sounds like a brother when he is in front of a neighborhood crowd. Can you trust him? He says he thinks military action is justified when their is genocide but not in the case of the Kurds which he himself referred to as a genocide a few years ago. This means military action in Africa! Remember, one of the two bills of his that became public law in the senate was to support monetary action in the Republic of the Congo. We know he is in favor of abortion without restriction, and we know he voted against help for miracle babies (those that survive abortions), and we know that he worked hard to outlaw handguns but told an NRA crowd he was in favor of gun ownership. He lies continually to get by. The only way he can get his agenda funded is by doing what other democrats have tried; to gut the military. Funny, a month ago he even said he would expand the military when his audience was the American Legion. Americans need to think hard before making a decision, there is too much at stake.

Fannie Mae Eases Credit To Aid Mortgage Lending

In a move that could help increase home ownership rates among minorities and low-income consumers, the Fannie Mae Corporation is easing the credit requirements on loans that it will purchase from banks and other lenders.

The action, which will begin as a pilot program involving 24 banks in 15 markets -- including the New York metropolitan region -- will encourage those banks to extend home mortgages to individuals whose credit is generally not good enough to qualify for conventional loans. Fannie Mae officials say they hope to make it a nationwide program by next spring.

Fannie Mae, the nation's biggest underwriter of home mortgages, has been under increasing pressure from the Clinton Administration to expand mortgage loans among low and moderate income people and felt pressure from stock holders to maintain its phenomenal growth in profits.

In addition, banks, thrift institutions and mortgage companies have been pressing Fannie Mae to help them make more loans to so-called subprime borrowers. These borrowers whose incomes, credit ratings and savings are not good enough to qualify for conventional loans, can only get loans from finance companies that charge much higher interest rates -- anywhere from three to four percentage points higher than conventional loans.

''Fannie Mae has expanded home ownership for millions of families in the 1990's by reducing down payment requirements,'' said Franklin D. Raines, Fannie Mae's chairman and chief executive officer. ''Yet there remain too many borrowers whose credit is just a notch below what our underwriting has required who have been relegated to paying significantly higher mortgage rates in the so-called subprime market.''

Demographic information on these borrowers is sketchy. But at least one study indicates that 18 percent of the loans in the subprime market went to black borrowers, compared to 5 per cent of loans in the conventional loan market.

In moving, even tentatively, into this new area of lending, Fannie Mae is taking on significantly more risk, which may not pose any difficulties during flush economic times. But the government-subsidized corporation may run into trouble in an economic downturn, prompting a government rescue similar to that of the savings and loan industry in the 1980's.

''From the perspective of many people, including me, this is another thrift industry growing up around us,'' said Peter Wallison a resident fellow at the American Enterprise Institute. ''If they fail, the government will have to step up and bail them out the way it stepped up and bailed out the thrift industry.''

Under Fannie Mae's pilot program, consumers who qualify can secure a mortgage with an interest rate one percentage point above that of a conventional, 30-year fixed rate mortgage of less than $240,000 -- a rate that currently averages about 7.76 per cent. If the borrower makes his or her monthly payments on time for two years, the one percentage point premium is dropped.

Fannie Mae, the nation's biggest underwriter of home mortgages, does not lend money directly to consumers. Instead, it purchases loans that banks make on what is called the secondary market. By expanding the type of loans that it will buy, Fannie Mae is hoping to spur banks to make more loans to people with less-than-stellar credit ratings.

Fannie Mae officials stress that the new mortgages will be extended to all potential borrowers who can qualify for a mortgage. But they add that the move is intended in part to increase the number of minority and low income home owners who tend to have worse credit ratings than non-Hispanic whites.

Home ownership has, in fact, exploded among minorities during the economic boom of the 1990's. The number of mortgages extended to Hispanic applicants jumped by 87.2 per cent from 1993 to 1998, according to Harvard University's Joint Center for Housing Studies. During that same period the number of African Americans who got mortgages to buy a home increased by 71.9 per cent and the number of Asian Americans by 46.3 per cent.

In contrast, the number of non-Hispanic whites who received loans for homes increased by 31.2 per cent.

Despite these gains, home ownership rates for minorities continue to lag behind non-Hispanic whites, in part because blacks and Hispanics in particular tend to have on average worse credit ratings.

In July, the Department of Housing and Urban Development proposed that by the year 2001, 50 percent of Fannie Mae's and Freddie Mac's portfolio be made up of loans to low and moderate-income borrowers. Last year, 44 percent of the loans Fannie Mae purchased were from these groups.

The change in policy also comes at the same time that HUD is investigating allegations of racial discrimination in the automated underwriting systems used by Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to determine the credit-worthiness of credit applicants.

Media spin on financial mess

Today on 60 Minutes they discussed the unregulated practice of selling default swaps. These insurance policies were sold to buyers of batches of junk mortgages as an inducement so the paper could be sold easily. The CBS program rightfully explained the practice where these "swaps" could be sold without regulation because if they were called insurance, they would be regulated by requiring money reserves to cover the insurance policies. You see, it was Bear Stearns, AIG, and all the rest of the big groups now in trouble that did this. I suppose that if I have a bag full of dog crap and I want to sell it, if I also offer insurance that it has value, it helps. Well, 60 Minutes is trying to say these groups got in trouble because of this. That there were trillions of dollars in losses in these default swaps. There were.

The truth of the matter is that Fannie and Freddie manipulated the ratings of these junk sub-prime mortgages which caused these Wall St. finance companies to try to insure these pieces of toilet paper so they could sell them. As I said before if a bag of dog crap is insured and the insurance company can't pay, what was the problem? Obviously the bag of crap was in the first place.

The media can rally around their Democrat cronies in all kind of ways, but the problem is that Freddie and Fannie scammed the system and the overseers in Congress knew it and let it go on because these two groups were giving money to their campaigns and funding affordable housing projects. You see the Democrats thing the ends justify the means no matter what.

Now we have been fleeced for 700 Billion dollars. We will never see half of that despite what they are telling us. Obama stepped into this mess with both feet. He helped Acorn forcefully push these no money down plans to financial institutes. The mortgage companies were pushed to do it or face the unspoken consequences. They all did it. No different then how Jesse Jackson got a Coca-Cola bottling distributorship for his sons. Intimidation! Obama trained the Acorn directors on how to do it and acted as General Council (head lawyer) to protect them. Oh by the way, did I say that Obama was third in most money received from Freddie and Fannie and he voted against the Republican effort to increase oversight on Freddie and Fannie in 2005?

Obama is dangerous and his anti-establishment efforts over the years should be proof. America needs to wake up. If you need to show the world that you are not against blacks, do it another way. Electing this man is the wrong way.

No moxy

I get disgusted when I follow the causes of this financial meltdown and see the Democrats tap dancing while they blame Bush and Reagan. We have a golden opportunity for the Republicans to grandstand and tell the truth pointing the finger at Barney Frank, Chris Dodd and the rest of the Democrats (as mentioned in posts before this one). Why are they silent? It's time to scream! ......Instead, total silence.... The sad truth is that this crisis deserves hearings in congress now, before the election. If the Democrats don't want to, the Republicans should have their own anyway. Thumb their noses at Pelosi and Dodd. Have hearings anyway. The RNC should file suit on behalf of American voters in court. A class action suit is in order. Get mad McCain...Get mad.....instead...total silence.

New Agency Proposed to Oversee Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae

The Bush administration today recommended the most significant
regulatory overhaul in the housing finance industry since the savings and loan crisis a decade ago.

Under the plan, disclosed at a Congressional hearing today, a new
agency would be created within the Treasury Department to assume
supervision of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, the government-sponsored companies that are the two largest players in the mortgage lending industry.
Significant details must still be worked out before Congress can
approve a bill. Among the groups denouncing the proposal today were the National Association of Home Builders and Congressional Democrats who fear that tighter regulation of the companies could sharply reduce their commitment to financing low-income and affordable housing.

''These two entities -- Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac -- are not facing any kind of financial crisis,'' said Representative Barney Frank of Massachusetts, the ranking Democrat on the Financial Services Committee. ''The more people exaggerate these problems, the more pressure there is on these companies, the less we will see in terms of affordable housing.''

Representative Melvin L. Watt, Democrat of North Carolina, agreed.
''I don't see much other than a shell game going on here, moving
something from one agency to another and in the process weakening the bargaining power of poorer families and their ability to get affordable housing,'' Mr. Watt said.

McCain spoke forcefully on May 25, 2006, on behalf of the Federal Housing Enterprise Regulatory Reform Act of 2005 (via Beltway Snark):

Mr. President, this week Fannie Mae’s regulator reported that the company’s quarterly reports of profit growth over the past few years were “illusions deliberately and systematically created” by the company’s senior management, which resulted in a $10.6 billion accounting scandal.

The Office of Federal Housing Enterprise Oversight’s report goes on to say that Fannie Mae employees deliberately and intentionally manipulated financial reports to hit earnings targets in order to trigger bonuses for senior executives. In the case of Franklin Raines, Fannie Mae’s former chief executive officer, OFHEO’s report shows that over half of Mr. Raines’ compensation for the 6 years through 2003 was directly tied to meeting earnings targets. The report of financial misconduct at Fannie Mae echoes the deeply troubling $5 billion profit restatement at Freddie Mac.

The OFHEO report also states that Fannie Mae used its political power to lobby Congress in an effort to interfere with the regulator’s examination of the company’s accounting problems. This report comes some weeks after Freddie Mac paid a record $3.8 million fine in a settlement with the Federal Election Commission and restated lobbying disclosure reports from 2004 to 2005. These are entities that have demonstrated over and over again that they are deeply in need of reform.

For years I have been concerned about the regulatory structure that governs Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac–known as Government-sponsored entities or GSEs–and the sheer magnitude of these companies and the role they play in the housing market. OFHEO’s report this week does nothing to ease these concerns. In fact, the report does quite the contrary. OFHEO’s report solidifies my view that the GSEs need to be reformed without delay.

I join as a cosponsor of the Federal Housing Enterprise Regulatory Reform Act of 2005, S. 190, to underscore my support for quick passage of GSE regulatory reform legislation. If Congress does not act, American taxpayers will continue to be exposed to the enormous risk that Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac pose to the housing market, the overall financial system, and the economy as a whole.

I urge my colleagues to support swift action on this GSE reform legislation.

In this speech, McCain managed to predict the entire collapse that has forced the government to eat Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, along with Bear Stearns and AIG.

Well. As we now know, it died by a vote along party lines with all Democrats voting against it including Sen. Dodd and good old Barack Obama.

Bill Clinton on Thursday told ABC’s Chris Cuomo that Democrats for years have been “resisting any efforts by Republicans in the Congress or by me when I was President to put some standards and tighten up a little on Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac“

Palen power

Liberals are foaming at the mouth with their hatred for Sarah Palin. Interestingly enough, the very thing about her that drives them insane is what makes conservatives like us love her. Take this for example:

When federal judges in San Francisco ruled in 2002 that reciting the Pledge of Allegiance in public schools was unconstitutional because it included the phrase "under God," Sarah Palin was not amused. Palin, who at the time was Mayor of Wasilla, Alaska, quickly drafted a terse letter to the editor of a San Francisco newspaper.

"Dear Editor," Palin wrote in 2002. "San Francisco judges forbidding our Pledge of Allegiance? They will take the phrase 'under God' away from me when my cold, dead lips can no longer utter those words," Palin wrote.

"God Bless America," she concluded.

Bailout

Sub-prime mortgages were so common, the poor were getting in on them as well as real estate speculators. It was simple. You applied for a loan with no money down and no income verification for more then you needed so you could cover the renovation costs and carrying costs. Well, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac packaged these 13-15% loans and the greedy Wall St money managers bought them to add to their diversified portfolios. This way they could tell their investors that they also have in their portfolios high pay out real estate paper. These money managers knew they were dealing with high risk paper just like risky stocks. They knew it and their buyers knew it, they got that info in writing before they invested.

Bail them out? We shouldn't. Let them fail. New money managers will rise from the deep, many from these same firms. People will lose money, but tough luck. The last time I looked, when my 401k lost money, I didn't get a check from the Government.

Democratt racism

A recent poll released the other day found that 30% of likely to vote democrats hold harsh feelings towards blacks. Not only is this the big elephant in the closet, but it is the elephant the democratic leaders never wanted the public to find out about. I am not alone when I say McCain will win big. I said it months ago. I believe racism in the Democratic party will be the reason too. Here's why. The south as a geographic area has much different views then Massachusetts type people. This is really no big secret. These anti-black views are not universal but they exist and they can be seen predominantly in the southern blue collar industries. The good old boy network, check out the local bars where crowds of laborers have a few Buds after work, shoot some pool, and watch Nascar. These bar scenes are not an urban myth, there are hundreds of thousands of them accross the south.
Everyone knows the Democrats have cornered the unions especially the labor unions into there corner and have kept them there for over a decade now. They grabbed up this block knowing full well that the racism in the group was deep seated and impossible to change. Well, the democrats true to form welcomed them in and never did a thing to address racism. Now the chickens are coming home to roost. Republicans are voting against Obama because he is a democrat, 30% of democrats are voting against him because he is black. Trying to shame the people in there corner will only serve to make it 35%. It's too late.
The lesson here for the democrats is simple. You have to be truthful before you spin anything. They have been starting with a lie and spinning from there. They have been promoting Obama by telling America that racism in a presidential election is a non-issue. They similarly had been telling Americans that the war in Iraq was lost, that global warming is killing polar bears, that Anwar is an environmental treasure and on and on. They would have had a lot more success by starting with the truth.
The fallout from this will be tough. Blacks will dislike whites because they will be looked at as the ones who stopped "The One". The democratic party will blame it all on the republicans some how, and deep seated racism will continue. When America is ready for a black President, America will elect one, its just not now.

Patriotism and taxes

Joe Biden says it's patriotic to pay more taxes. He apparently can't come up with any better answer when asked about it yesterday. His caustic style basically implied that unless you pay more, you aren't patriotic enough. This being the logical inverse of his statement. Well. I have an answer for Mr. Biden. Stick it! As a Vietnam veteran with 18 months in combat, I think I am patriotic enough. Most other veterans I know are the same on this point. How dare Joe Biden! If you want to increase patriotism Joe, try getting your running mate to get rid of his terrorist friends, try getting your running mate to stop lying to the American public about where his loyalties lie. Finally try not talking down to people, try respecting what people are and not trying to shame them. If there is anyone who epitomizes a lack of patriotism, its Barack Obama.

The Woods Fund

The Woods Fund is supposedly an anti-poverty group in the Chicago area that has made notoriety due to Obama serving on it’s Board of Directors. Obama joined the board of the Woods Fund in 1993 and remained until 2002. Bill Ayers, the notable domestic terrorist who was involved in the bombing of government facilities during the Woodstock generation, served on the Woods board for three years of Obama’s tenure and remained on the board after Obama departed. These facts are not in dispute.

Perhaps the most notorious of the Woods Fund recipients of grant money was the Arab American Action Network (AAAN). AAAN was established in 1995 as non-profit group supposedly dedicated to improving the conditions of Arab immigrants in the Chicago area.

But its activities were hardly benign. For example, AAAN sponsored a Palestinian art exhibit on the “Nakba” — that is, the “catastrophe” of Israel’s establishment in 1948. AAAN’s officials routinely have made statements vilifying Israel. AAAN Board member Ali Abunimah in 2002 said: “‘By deliberately denying food, water and medical aid, and wantonly destroying public and private property, and deliberately destroying the economy in the occupied territories, Israel is in flagrant breach of the Geneva Convention. … Unfortunately, we are seeing the world turn a blind eye to atrocities being committed under its nose.” (Abunimah co-founded and operates the Electronic Intifada, a website replete with anti-Israel slurs and which declares Israel to be an apartheid state.)

On the death of Yasser Arafat in 2004, Hatem Abudayyeh, executive director of AAAN, announced: “Arafat was a great man. Yes, Arafat was an icon. … We’re saddened by his death, but we don’t ignore the fact that this is not an issue of individuals, it’s an issue of a people who have been oppressed and occupied for 55 years.”

Also serving on the Woods Fund at the time was Palestinian activist and now professor at Columbia University Rashid Khalidi, whose wife headed AAAN. The Woods Fund granted AAAN $40,000 in 2001 and $70,000 in 2002. As Salon magazine wrote, this was “nepotism, Chicago style.”

Khalidi, a former spokesman for Yasser Arafat, held a fundraiser for Obama in 2000 during his unsuccessful bid for Congress. In 2003, during a dinner honoring Khalidi for becoming the Edward Said Professor of Arab Studies at Columbia, Obama warmly praised him.

Change you can believe in

When you google the bills in the Senate Obama has had his name on, there are around 145 of them. Only 2 have been bills he proposed that actually became law. One to promote democracy in the Republic of the Congo and the other to name a post office in Illinois the "Katherine Dunham post office". There were actually over 25 that were ruled by the chair as being out of order. Most of the rest were either "sense of the Senate votes or sent to committee for hearings.

So the very few examples of bills that became law which were referred to by Palen and McCain were these two. They had too much class to say what they were so that they wouldn't be labled as sounding racist. It is what it is.

Obama stupidity

One on one such as with O'Reilly the night of John McCain's speech at the RNC convention he shows his lack of knowledge on National Defense issues. He said that Iran is not part of the war on terror??

I have learned to question everything this idiot says, he lies all the time or is just stupid. Iran is 89% Shia and 9% Sunni, Iraq is 60% Shia and 37% Sunni, Syria is 24% Sunni and 16% shia. The bad guys are off shoots of the Sunni that drift around country to country with a finance base and a mother land in Saudi Arabia where the Sunni are 88% and the Shia are only 11%. There are no border fences, nobody asking for a passport, in fact it's just all desert! This is no mystery and anyone that can read a little will soon understand that people are free to roam and all of them speak Arabic.

Obama says Iraq is the wrong place to fight because they didn't do anything, but Afghanistan is the right place to fight. He bases this on the Democratic talking point that the 9/11 bad guys came from Afghanistan and thats the only place that we should be fighting. This stupid way of looking at it is like they looked at Viet Nam where we weren't allowed in Cambodia or Laos because our fight was in Viet Nam. What happened? the Ho Chi Minh trail was constructed through those neighboring countries to supply South Viet Nam from North Viet Nam with bombs and bullets.

Bush was right originally that we had to find them and take them out wherever they may drift. McCain also understands that. Obama would put our troops in Afghanistan and the rockets and mortars would hail in from all the neighboring countries all the while they would be laughing at us while they picked off our men. This man is dangerous, all he cares about are neighborhood issues.

Palen impact

Sarah Palin's performance last night was nothing short of unbelievable. News media from as far as Great Briton (The Sun) are declaring her speech an absolute home run. How can a relative unknown just a few weeks ago become the most talked about and toasted woman today worldwide? Here's my take on it. She is a PTA mom who has had a normal amount of family problems and challenges along the way. Also very much like in Mr. Smith goes to Washington where a good old boy butts heads with the Ipana smile Ivy League lawyer politicians and wins, Palen is of that mold and her trek toward the Vice Presidency is a lot like that. She has taken on the establishment without any help, and turned around her State the way the people like her (the majority of the citizens there) wanted to see it. She got rid of corruption, sent people to jail and at last look, is riding at 85% approval rating. The highest in the nation for a Governor. This is a crisis for the lefties. How can the first successful feminist be a Republican? That's not supposed to be. Is this the future look of American politics? The Republican party?

Palen took apart the left leaning media by saying she doesn't care about their support, only interested in serving the American public. She took a shot at Sen. Harry Reid, Obama, and the general establishment, and she did all this with a smile and a completely disarming approach. It is now understandable how she was so successful in Alaska. They never saw her coming.

There is no doubt that the media will continue to attack her, and the Daily KOS will sling mud at her, and several other slime blogs will do Obama's dirty work while Obama conveniently denies he's behind any of it. I just get the feeling that she is saying to herself, Bring it on! I hope McCain and the other backers, many of which just woke up, jump in and give her a hand.

Palen mania

The Palen pick has caused a spectacular surge of energy in most of us. She has redefined the look of an "American feminist" and the lefties are bull about that. They thought they had a lock on that. She has taken over from Hillary after she was pushed around by the good old boy network, she stepped down, humiliated and defeated. Now the Republicans and a growing number of Democrats and Independents are taking up the feminist cause in a new way. They are falling behind the McCain/Palen ticket. How exciting is that. Like it or don't, you could be looking at the President of the United States after McCain.

When I, myself, became pregnant in college, my soon-to-be mother in law (a hard-core liberal Democrat who had openly encouraged me to have un-married sex with her son) expressed her “disappointment” in both of us – and immediately pushed for an abortion. My own mother (a sex-before-marriage-is-sin Catholic) immediately comforted me, affirmed her love for me and said, “There’s always room in our family for another baby.” My husband and I have been JOYFULLY married 21 years and have 4 amazing kids…. You can just hear old Barack saying, "wtf!" This choice just took all the wind out of the Obama sails and by next week will result in McCain surging ahead by at least 10 percentage points. Sarah Palen has it all; good looks, spunk, pro-life, a hockey mom, a hunter, a life member of the NRA, a feminist with an R after her name, a staunchly honest politician who has taken down crooked republicans as well as democrats, and on and on. She is the real deal. She knew she was going to give birth to a down syndrome child, and wouldn't even consider an abortion. Watch out Obama, you are now going to see millions of Hillary backers drift over to the McCain side liketty split! Obama dissed Hillary, and now all those femanazis have a place to go.

The "one" or the wrong one

Is he the one? Or is he just another black man with an attitude and a Jesse Jackson agenda to sprinkle money across American ghettos? Beginning with the 20 year association with the ranting Chicago hate preacher where Obama never knew he was preaching "hate America" stuff, to adoring wife who never was proud of America until Obama was in the run for President, America is soon to make a choice. Recent Ayers Dorhan revelations also have come out that show Obama has a close relationship with this (another) hate America agitator and in fact started his political kick off at Ayers home. Ayers, as you may by now know, was the leader of the Weather Underground; a hate America group that bombed government buildings and killed a Boston police officer. I have been looking hard since these revelations to find a love America group Obama was ever involved with, any such group... Nothing.

How can this be explained? It seems to be the hope in middle America that race is no longer a factor. That old racial feelings are no longer. That a young black man is as good as a white man in a political race. The only problem with this is that many are blinded by the negatives and just want at all costs to be progressive enough to vote for a black man so they can show everyone that they are not part of that old way. They don't want to focus on these negatives as they might blow a hole in their new way of looking at the world. Too bad. The result of all this will be tragic for America. It will set racial relations back 50 years. Polls are showing that Obama is slipping as people are finally wising up. After it is all over and McCain wins, everyone will blame racism, and it will be some time before we all get over it.

Democrat view on abortion

Nancy Polosi says that she is a Catholic and has studied the abortion question quite deeply and she has declared that the church position is that life begins after the first tri-mester. The sleeping giant has woken up. Finally the church has been nudged into speaking their peace. Today the Denver Archbishop has declared this to be rubbish and he said Joe Biden should not try to receive communion because he thinks along with the Democratic talking point babbled out by Polosi. What took so long? The church needs to stop leaning left all the time except when they are pushed on the abortion issue. They need to come right out and tell Catholics what being in favor of abortion means to them with the church. It means they are favoring murder plain and simple and that is a mortal sin, and that gets you a one way trip to hell.

Biden's worth

Biden was one of the "jump to judgment" politicians that screamed for the heads of the Marines involved in the Haditha incident. This small group sided with the off the wall phony patriot Jack Murtha and demanded these Marines be prosecuted before their rights were protected and without the presumption of innocence. Biden even demanded the president apologize for this incident. Well, it turned out seven were found innocent and one is still pending a hearing. You don't hear a peep from this group of unpatriotic idiots now. I don't hear a Biden apology or even a admission that he was wrong. This kind of rush to judgment is a quality that should never be brushed over on a man who is potentially a heartbeat away from the Presidency. We also hear that one of the biggest lobbyists in Washington with an office 2 blocks from the capitol is Biden's son. A Google search of "Biden lobbyist" reveals a book load of stories of this son and legal actions he has been involved with. It is no doubt that the most recent CNN poll after Obama picked this blowhard showed that the short lead Obama had has evaporated. Change we can believe in!!!

Biden adds to the feminist woes

Biden came out of the gate calling his wife drop dead gorgeous and she has a PHD that he says was something to watch out for. This already miffed the fema-nazis and it should. Remember Obama calling the female reporter "Sweety"? If they didn't already have an uphill battle trying to lure the Hillary backers to support their ticket, mostly miffed feminists, they now will really have a tough road. You see, in the past, the nasty Republicans were the ones billed as sexist, not the darling Democrats. Well, its a new day. So all you miffed Hillary people, face it, they don't take you seriously at all.

A dead man in Denver

Recently a man was found dead in a hotel room in Denver. It appeared to the news reporters that it could have been a suicide with cyanide poisoning. They talked to his family who reported that the poor man had psychological problems. The facts are really as follows: The mans name was Saleman Abdirahman Dirie, a Somali muslim from Canada. He had with him a pound of cyanide in powder form. He was staying in a $200 per night hotel just a few days before the Democratic convention. The FBI is downplaying the incident saying it doesn't look like terrorism, but any American with any normal intelligence would question that. How did he get the powder? What was he going to do with it? It's time we face reality in this country and not deal with life and death situations like this with a political slant. Tell the truth FBI! Don't spin it so that Obama is the only headline out there.

Polls

At Ralph's world we are calling on all good Americans to lie to any pollster that may call you between now and November. Tell everyone you are for Obama but vote McCain. This way the liberal left will focus their efforts in the wrong places and spend all their money on the wrong things. Many of you feel intimiated by these double last named pixey hair due feminists who bring up the Obama name like they expect everyone to agree with them or face ostracism. It's OK to be patriotic and keep it to yourself. Be pro-American and when you go into that voting booth, think of your family and our future in this world. Tell them Obama but vote McCain!

Russian agression

Former KGB head and Russian leader Putin has decided to invade Georgia in a heavy handed way over a Georgian act that warranted only a heated discussion . Georgia, a US ally and one of the best friends of the United States in Iraq, is looking for our help, but there is none coming. John McCain has it right, Putin can't be trusted. Obama on the other hand would never consider force in a case like this, rather he would want to talk, talk, talk. The UN is considering a security council meeting over it, but the Russians don't care, they can bog down any UN effort using their parlimentary vote and everyone knows it. Putin wants Obama in office because Obama is a pacifist that can be bullied.

It comes down to this; Can any ally expect our help if they request it, when their country comes under aggression and they are outmatched? Don't ever think Obama would support one of our allies if they were in trouble. He talks a good game, but he is inexperienced, a left wing dove and anti-any war. Could Israel expect Obama to come to their aid if they were attacked by multiple Arab countries at once? Could Japan expect Obama's help if the wacco Arabs started major trouble and Japan pleaded for our military help?

Americans need to consider the worst when they vote for a President. Who will fight when fighting is in order? If Russia gets testy in the future who is the better President to put them in their place, Obama or McCain? The world isn't safe enough yet for Americans to just smell the roses and bury the slingshots.

What's Important

A Recent PEW poll taken to survey just what is important today to people sorted by political persuasion was very informative. We know that political leaders look at these a lot to mold their positions on major issues. Some even change their position based on these like Obama's new drilling position, and McCain's new border position. Here are a few tidbits from the survey:
1. The top rating for both Republicans and Independents was terrorism but it was only 3rd for Democrats.
2. Illegal Immigration was 4th for Republicans but only 17th for Democrats
3. A strong military was 7th for Republicans but only 20th for Democrats
4. Morality was 9th for Republicans but 18th for Democrats
5. Global warming was 21st for Republicans and 16th for Democrats
There were many more findings in this PEW poll, but I want to point out a few thoughts on these. Making terrorism the top priority is a winning position today and the Democrats should not be in a position where they relegate this to 3rd. Americans want the world to be safe for them. It will come back to haunt the Democrats. It is consistent that the Democrats don't give a rats butt about defense and defense issues as can be concluded from #1 and #3 above. This has been the observation of most intelligent observers for decades. Sometimes Democrats try to look tough when the polls tell them to, like just after 9/11, but don't be fooled, they don't care. It was reported that when Obama went to Afghanistan, he wouldn't even shake the troops' hands. Another interesting point is morality. This explains why abortion is important to Republicans and no big deal for Democrats. Final point notice that nobody really cares about global warming. The Democrats still are dragging this issue around trying to get Americans to push it up on the list because of the environmental lobby and the strong pressure they are exerting, but most people just don't buy it. The final glowing point is racism. It never even showed up in the top 20 views of either party. Watch out Obama, trying to "solve the racism problem" in America is a position that nobody cares about.

Hidden racism in America

Many talking heads and blogs these days are scratching their heads because Obama can't seem to kick on the afterburners and stretch out a lead. After all, he has the money, the media, Hollywood, what else does he need? Juan Williams thinks whites are telling pollsters that they like Obama even though they have no use for him because they want to look progressive. Could this be?

Well let’s look at the basics. Each of the last two elections were very close with the Democrats voting Democrat, and the Republicans voting Republican and the Independents split. Is that trend any different today? You bet. Everyone knows that there are still many areas in the country where blacks are not trusted. Southern rural areas, inner city neighborhoods, and don’t forget that large block of Southern Democrats who are recognized by former KKK members like Sen. Bird. Nobody wants to examine this for fear of bringing the race issue up into a campaign where everyone is tip toeing around trying not to even frown when a black walks by. Is racism alive and a factor?

The Democrats want to play it both ways. They want everyone to feel like they are a racist if they are not for Obama, while trying to convince themselves that there are no racist feelings today in America. One needs only to travel into southern white areas to see that old black/white views are still around. For many its bad enough to consider voting for a black man who most of the time acts white, but to vote for him when he starts acting like the Pope in Europe and better then the rest of us is much too much to swallow. But just how much of a factor is it? Well, we know that Obama realized no bounce after Europe. After Europe he has slipped now to a point that he is dead even with McCain today in the polls. The media is trying to say McCain is advancing instead of Obama slipping but, they are starting to fear the worst.

Obama started off strong but a lot of his strength was really because many just thought of Hillary as a nag and a idiot. The media knew this but were so into a young black man making history, they wanted to ride that wave and be part of it. Obama, the opportunist, surged just like when he ran for Senate against someone who had higher objectionables then him (Republican black). He is lucky that way. Now he is about to be the anointed Democrat at their convention. Are people staying in the closet until they vote? The answer is absolutely.

My view is that even if the whites in America, both Democrats and Republicans, are 10-15% racist or even just a little untrusting of a black man in power, McCain wins big in November. We won’t hear the guilt trip from the media until after the election.

Giving life a chance

Mr. Obama has continuously supported the liberal left position on abortion. He has even stated his support for late term abortion. Beyond that, he has refused to vote against the protection of "miracle babies" which are late term abortion babies that have somehow survived the process. This extreme position is murder plain and simple. He and the loony left somehow justify their positions by trying to convince themselves that it is not a living being until it breathes. That way the partial birth process of removing the baby feet first so that it doesn't breath yet and then chopping up the body is ok with them. Barbaric isn't it? I can only think of the baby Samual photo of a team of doctors operating on a baby still in the womb and the little kid reaching out and grabbing the doctors hand. Iran shakedown

Ever since the liberal policies of Jimmy Carter and the continued actions later by Bill Clinton, foreign powers have found success getting money from us by threatening to do something outrageous. The release of the hostages by Iran during the late days of Jimmy Carter's reign happened only after the US paid a huge ransom. This was never officially confirmed by this government, but the indications were there and the media had the story in their sights, but couldn't prove it so it died before it's expose. North Korea started this recently and once again we took notice, opened up trade again, loosened up the sanctions against them, which is the same as money, and they agreed to stop their boisterous military threats. Well, Iran is at it again. The nuclear centrifuge development isn't really to start war with anyone. They are only a pimple. They want money. I bet they get it.

OBAMA JIVE

Since the beginning of the Obama circus I have been at a loss to understand how a candidate who revels in vagaries and pep talk phrases can be at the brink of winning the highest office in the land. Could it be that most of the people in this country really don’t care if he has a solid position on anything? Could it be that the American people are so sick of struggling in a bad economy that they are just looking for “a change”. Or are most people just stupid?

A review of the past is vitally important at this point. Obama started his political pursuits in Chicago where he decided to marry up with Rev. Wright in order to get elected to the State Senate in Illinois. If he didn’t do it for that reason, then he did it because he believed all that anti-American, racist bull. My read of him is that he is a calculating opportunist, but a nice guy! He has a genuine nice smile and just doesn’t look like an angry black man. Now given that, I must therefore conclude that he used the blacks in South Chicago by letting them think he was one of them (anti America and anti white man). He did this for 20 years while he established a block of votes, most of which backed him because he was a Rev. Wright parishioner and so are they. He was a brother.

So Mr. Obama joined up with one of the largest churches in the area and this got him elected. After he got elected, he managed to earmark millions of dollars in State tax revenues to Rev. Wright’s church and his political base. Now he was a mini savior. All the while he was using his backers because they figured he was “one of them” but in reality he wasn’t.

Other people Obama chummed around with included a former domestic terrorist and a shady real estate developer, but all this is not contested at all. The point is that when you look at a person and are trying to size him up, you have to look at all his friends. Most of the time a person is in sinc with their friends. Especially if the relationships are long ones.

Obama later had a teaching position at a Chicago law school that was known for professors that published huge amounts of educational articles on law. Guess what? Obama never published anything there. He only lectured on black oppression topics. Again, pumping up his resume for political reasons.

Don’t forget his lovely bride Michelle. The media poked around for a bit into her background but later stopped. As she said, up until recently she never loved this country. Well, that is the inferred inverse of what she said. Mysteriously the transcripts of the PUSH subcommittee meeting where she may have referred to “whitey” have vanished. Why do you think her image, at least from skeptics, is a radical black female with an attitude? We do know that her senior thesis was a black, whow is me, theme. We also know she thought of her Harvard professors as white elitists. These facts have been made public already.

Opportunity knocked and Obama got to run against a black Republican for a US Senate seat. This was a gift, against another black in a State that votes democratic? Now he is a US Senator and his campaign for President begins. He is forced to write off Rev. Wright He said that was not the Rev. Wright he knew before. He writes off his old friend Tony Resco saying he is not the Tony Resco he knew before. So much for loyalty. One political flap and under the bus goes his friends to join his white grandmother. When I was in the military the troops formed opinions of senior officers on this quality only. In tough times would he back you or not? This quality in a leader is of the utmost importance. Obama doesn't have it.

Now Obama is out there politicking. He is great on the prepared speeches, but as we all know, when he drifts from the text, problems happen. He said the other day in Florida that if everyone just inflated their tires and got tune ups, it would exceed all the oil that others say is out there targeted for new drilling. What a stupid statement! Can you imagine a Presidential candidate making things up like that? Even his supportive audience couldn’t believe that statement…total silence when he said it. Now when someone is so sure of their communication abilities that they think they can just sling it and get away with it, there is a problem. For those that wish to apologize for Obama and say he was only kidding, then the next question is, what is the argument against further drilling then? If he had an intelligent one he would have led with it. He didn’t. The truth is there is no real reason why not. As a matter of fact, he just decided to soften that stance after the Florida speech. He now says he now will support new drilling in the gulf as long as we agree to a 20 year plan to convert cars to run on electricity. Sounds like his team looked at the polling data and recognized that most Americans favor new drilling. Sorry Ms. Polosi.

Recently Obama decided to go to the middle east to prove he has foreign policy experience?? He was led around and when he visited Afghanistan he reportedly avoided meeting the troops. This is a copy of an e-mail from an in-country soldier that was published on the internet just the other day:

Hello everyone, I am not a very political person. I just wanted to pass along that Senator Obama came to Bagram Afghanistan for about an hour on his visit to 'The War Zone'. I wanted to share with you what happened. He got off the plane and got into a bullet proof vehicle, got to the area to meet with the Major General (2 Star) who is the commander here at Bagram.
As the Soldiers where lined up to shake his hand he blew them off and didn't say a word as he went into the conference room to meet the General. As he finished, the vehicles took him to the ClamShell (pretty much a big top tent that military personnel can play basketball or work out in with weights) so he could take his publicity pictures playing basketball. He again shunned the opportunity to talk to Soldiers to thank them for their service.
So really he was just here to make a showing for the American's back home that he is their candidate for President. I think that if you are going to make an effort to come all the way over here you would thank those that are providing the freedom that they are providing for you. I swear we got more thanks from the NBA Basketball Players or the Dallas Cowboy Cheer leaders than from one of the Senators, who wants to be the President of the United States . I just don't understand how anyone would want him to be our Commander-and-Chief. It was almost that he was scared to be around those that provide the freedom for him and our great country. If this is blunt and to the point I am sorry but I wanted you all to know what kind of caliber of person he really is. What you see in the news is all fake.

I think the soldier had it right when he said that Obama was probably scared to face troops that do not feel he is on their side. The Obama handlers probably didn’t want to risk a soldier refusing to shake his hand or turning his back on him. Even the liberal media circus following him would have had to report that.

After he returned, even though the liberal media is now conceding that the surge worked, Obama refused to admit that. Instead he babbled on about how his plan was better. Even Katie Couric pressed him to admit the surge worked, but he wouldn’t. Obama’s plan is to put all the troops into Afghanistan and possibly Pakistan. I don’t think we want a President that can’t see to admit a mistake, or when to change courses after a mistake. He wouldn’t on the surge, he wouldn’t on his friends, he wouldn’t on Rev. Wright. I’m afraid he wouldn’t as President.

Now we are looking at Obama without an energy policy, with no good foreign policy, with a dangerous economic policy, and virtually no experience at anything. He was a community organizer in Chicago which turned out to be working with ACORN which was found to be an organization that signed up thousands of illegal voters (voter fraud). Obama says he is ready to lead but he won’t face the troops to thank them. He claims all the high gas prices can be addressed by filling your tires, he will raise taxes or he’ll retreat and dismantle the military. Unfortunately with the percent of the federal budget that is discretionary, there aren’t any other ways of finding major cash to fund new programs.

Americans need to wake up. This man has no principles of his own. He has no loyalties. A man like this can not be trusted. McCain has a lot of issues too, but at least he is consistent and a real patriot, Obama is not.
